I like to produce music under my stage name Shi-town Beygreatness. What started as a personal project in just rap music turned into a personal project in electro music.

Get off the Internet (Ode to the 90s) started as a nastolgia-fueled delve into phrases we would never hear again: “get off the internet, I need to use the phone” or “surfing the web, the world wide web.” The starting beat is the dial-up tone, arguably the most nostalgic sound to people of my generation, and one that we no longer hear on a regular basis. I believe that if 1997’s internet had a theme song, this would be it.

Also, yes, those are my vocals.

The below tracks are quick raps about aspects of my daily life.

My Process

I have been known to have doctor's handwriting and Drake's writing ability*

PHYSICS

Lyrics

Statics, optics, quantum mechanics.

I loved it all except for thermodynamics.

That shit sent me straight into panics.

All-nighters with the red bull

just like my partying days minus the handle pull.

Nah, I'm just kidding. That never happened.

When I wasn't studying, I was in my bed nappin'.

Which could maybe happen

like twice a week.

So much stress, so little sleep

my wrinkles made me look antique.

So I switched to Studies Interdisciplinary

taking classes that weren't much less scary.

Got a minor in English. That was cool.

Reading Hemingway, Faulkner, some other fool.

From reading, I learned to write with wit.

And that's why I spit the sickest shit.

Srat Lie-F

Lyrics

I was in Delta Delta Delta back in my hay day.

But there was no change all we did was play

With frat boys, run around

Drinking in basements.

But that wasn't me.

I was in Advanced Placements.

That's not to say the other girls weren't smart.

I mean we were at UC Berkeley, you had to have the heart

For academics. Sure, but the problem was

Their talents were wasted on boys and the buzz.

And sisterhood was forgotten

Because of fratstars dirty and rotten.

I want my my sisters to be brainy and empowered.

With compliments they all deserve to be showered,

not fighting over boys, invites and bids.

Of the mind, body, and soul it was SIDS.

Shoulda focused on doing us and being better

Not on trivial matters that change with the weather.

Not on clothes, weight, makeup, and looks.

We all know but don't trust it's what's inside that hooks.

* I am cognizant that Drake would likely beat me in a rap-off, but I keep the raps here as a testament to my tenacity
